In 2003 the closed Mat Mladin Motorcycles down to focus on the import business, with the vision of importing the best bike gear in the world, including the brands that helped him become the a champion.

Over the years, Mat has become increasingly concerned with the high margins added to products before sold to the consumer, resulting in product prices 30-40% higher than in the USA. As a result, he started bikegearwarehouse.com.au in 2009, selling direct to the public, as well as continuing servicing the existing dealer network. Popular brands such as Joe Rocket, Cortech, Tourmaster, MSR, Yoshimura, Jardine, Pazzo, Vortex and many others are now available in Australia at USA price levels.

Mat is actively involved in the management of Bike Gear Warehouse, in spite of a very busy racing calendar.
