BUB Enterprises began in 1976 with Denis "BUB" Manning and a desire to build superior motorcycle exhaust systems. He immediately realized the need for a performance exhaust system for the very popular Triumph motorcycles of the day. Having many years of experience with the Triumph and other European brands like Norton, Moto Guzzi and others, Denis’s exhaust systems soon gained the respect of the Triumph community as "the best pipe out there".
Denis soon was able to expand the business to include exhaust systems for the Harley Davidson line of motorcycles and the new Japanese touring bikes. As the business steadily grew Denis moved the entire operation to a 3000 square foot building perched atop a hill overlooking the valley on his northern California ranch.
As the company continued to grow Denis designed and built a brand new 15,000 square foot state of the art manufacturing facility in the small northern California town of Grass Valley, California. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, the deep, low BUB sound, can be heard emanating from the building.
The large building is also used as the main administration headquarters as well as our extensive research and development facilities. Also operating from this building are the offices for BUB Racing Inc. organizing the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
